Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

PROGRAMMING

  1. Fellowship Programming

    1. Lead the planning and implementation of the two-year Fellowship program.
    2. Lead the planning and implementation of individual program components of the Fellowship, including but not limited to biannual retreats, monthly Leaders Circles, coaching activities, and graduation events.
    3. Lead the planning and implementation of study trips, including but not limited to managing timelines and enrolling nationally respected nonprofit agencies to serve as study trip mentors.
    4. Recruit and manage relationships with program consultants and trainers as needed.  

  2. Recruitment

    1. Lead recruitment of program applicants, including but not limited to overseeing the recruitment strategy and process, conducting outreach to nonprofit leaders, and hosting information sessions for interested applicants.
    2. Lead and manage the Fellows’ selection process, including but not limited to reviewing applications, conducting interviews of select applicants, recruiting a volunteer committee to support selection process, and facilitating the selection meeting.

  3. Evaluation

    1. Lead the design and administration of program evaluation systems and the analysis of program evaluation results

  4. Alumni Network Programming

    1. Lead the development of the Alumni Network (including but not limited to providing resources and referrals to alumni upon request, and monitoring the alumni list serve).
    2. Carry out Alumni Network activities, including recruiting members for the Committee and co-facilitating meetings.
    3. Plan and implement Alumni Network events, including but not limited to the annual celebratory event, educational forums, and annual reunions.
    4. Participate in the planning and implementation of new Alumni Network projects.

  5. Earned Revenue Projects

    1. Participate in planning and implementation of earned revenue projects, including but not limited to special program design and program facilitation.

Development and Communications

  1. Development

    1. Participate in fund development activities including, but not limited to, contributing content for grant proposals and reports.
    2. Accompany executive director to select meetings with funders

  2. Marketing/Communications

    1. Prepare marketing and communications efforts for the agency including, but not limited to, contributing content for marketing collateral.
    2. Participate in select panels and conferences.

Operations

  1. Finances

    1. Participate in the annual budget planning process
